Life Drawing

Here's what I did in figure drawing today. You can kind of see some of the gesture drawings and thumbnails we also did today on the next page ha, the way I use my large sketch pad is all sorts of mixed up.

Quick Studies

I did a bunch of 1-2 minute head studies this week and here are a few of them. Working on a lot of new projects now that classes have started!

And I just realized how many of these expressions are looking sideways haha.

Colorful Thing?

Doodle for today. Uhhhh don't ask what it is because I don't know! Just one of those days. Tonight is my neighbors, my sisters and mines annual Danielle's finally home so lets play Mario Party on Game Cube and eat tons of junk food night! We get all into these games, there is a whole lot of screaming and taunting and bribing going on the whole time. So excited!

Long Night

It's been a few days so I thought I'd post a little doodle I was working on the other day. Who knows if I'll finish it. I keep going back and fiddling with it every now and then and then hiding what I paint. For some reason I'm struggling with taking this further. I'm sure I'll figure something out eventually.

Anyways, today is my little sister's 18th Birthday! We got her an ipod touch, which she loved, and I've been playing on while she's at school today! So Happy Birthday to my little sis Emily!

I took that mermaid sketch I did yesterday and threw some color on it today to see what it could turn into maybe.

I'm thinking I need to learn how to calibrate my computer though. [I think thats the right term?] Because trying to figure out how to fix my colors for internet viewing looks a lot different on my screen than other peoples. I'm still not too savvy on all the technical things like that on computers. But I'm learning!

Hey!

Sorry it's been a week since I posted. Got home from school last Saturday and as the last week before Christmas with the family it's always busy around here. [and I also decided to do some work out programs with a friend that were obviously for fit people not lazy college students. I don't think I've ever been this sore since my soccer days in high school!] Then the past two days alone I've done more running around and errands to last me the rest of the year! Haha.

But enough of that. I'm sure you are all busy with last minute Christmas preparations and shopping and family gatherings. So until I get something up next week here is one of the latest pages from my sketchbook.

Weston

Here's a spread from my Illustration sketchbook this semester. We did a journal type sketchbook with a list of topics with each sketch being done fairly quickly. This topic is a large public space. Weston-Super-Mare is a beach and large pier my family always goes to when we are visiting relatives in England. Most of my sketches have lots of hand done type on it for the journal aspect the teacher wanted, but I like this one without. Sorry for the strange match-up in the center but thats where the rings of my sketchbook were!
